I’m all for spreading awareness, but there’s a huge separation of information here.
-There’s child soldiers in Uganda.
-Has been since the 1940s.
-ICC has been trying to stop it since the 1970s.
-Warrant for his arrest as of 2005.
-His army has not been active in Uganda for years.
In regard to the Invisible Children, their finances are unaudited and have been questioned, and they are at risk of losing their IRS tax-exempt status for spending donated money on congressional lobbying.
I’m definitely not trying to start fights or spread hatred for any particular party, especially Invisible Children, as any charity organisation should be held to high acclaim, it may be worth researching further into the issue as opposed to simply sharing a, and I hate to use the phrase, propaganda-like video in an attempt to “change the world.”
